AWESOME OPPORTUNITIES | |
IN WOMENS MINISTRY |
| "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God¹s sight. For this is the way holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful." I Peter 3: 3-5 | |

WOMEN OF INFLUENCE | |
|
Are you a woman who is serious about her faith and committed to developing her spiritual life? The premise of this study is that every woman – whoever she is, wherever God has placed her, is a woman of influence. Whether influencing husband, children, co-workers or neighbors, you are important to God and your influence in the lives of others has eternal repercussions of significant value. Are you exercising your God-given gifts, skills and abilities but seek a stronger foundation for your faith and leadership skills? Or do others recognize that you have a potential for leadership and approach you to lead, but you doubt your contribution and competence? If so, this study is for you! Are you serious enough about your faith and excited enough to accept the challenge? Are you willing to spend twelve months of your life as a member of a select group that is focused on personal development and spiritual growth in a positive way and an encouraging environment with other women of like desire? Do you yearn to be a woman after God’s own heart and are ready to make the commitment necessary to pursue this path? Then this study is for you! Participants will need to set aside the 3rd Thursday evening of each month starting January 2007 through December 2007. If you accept the challenge, you will not regret it! Course application must be completed and turned in to Pastor Barb Nave by November 30, 2006. |

APPLES OF GOLD: | Using curriculum created by Betty Huizenga, Apples of Gold is a six week mentoring program. Titus 2: 4 says, Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. This scripture comes alive in the sharing of cooking lessons, Bible study and discussion. Relation-ships are formed between the "older" and "younger" women of the church. |
APPLESAUCE: | Applesauce is for graduates and mentors involved in the Apples of Gold program. An annual opportunity to reminisce and share real life growing experiences while enjoying a time of fellowship. Applesauce meeting will include a fresh teaching as well. |
