Worship Styles

Worship is something believers are passionate about!   Just as children have different ways of expressing love to their parents, we believe God’s people express their love to Jesus in different ways.   That’s why here at Sanibel Community Church we offer a rich opportunity for both traditional and contemporary worship.

In our traditional worship you will experience the old, familiar hymns, a chancel choir and the Lord’s Supper.  (Communion is served at the 8:00 a.m. service weekly.)

While our Contemporary service does incorporate hymns, they usually are accompanied with more of a beat than you would experience at the traditional service.  A full Praise Band leads us in vibrant contemporary songs of worship.  The worship service itself is also a little more casual.  Typically younger families come to the contemporary service, so there are lots of children in the crowd.  We keep our children in the worship service with us with our new “parenting in the pews” approach.

Pastor Daryl Donovan preaches the same sermon at all three services.
