Allen grew up in Ohio and went to Brown University to play football. He came to know Jesus at Brown and became active in evangelism and discipleship with his local church and Athletes in Action. Despite opportunities to explore football professionally, his hunger grew for ministry. Since graduating from Brown, Allen has served as youth director at a church in Ohio, but desires to be trained for pastoral ministry and possibly church planting. He is working on his M.Div. remotely through Midwestern seminary.
