Originally from Michigan, Kurt moved to Florida in 1984 and shortly thereafter, began what would become a 26 year career as a police officer and later chaplain with the Sanibel Police Department. In 1988, Kurt and Susan, were married in the Historic Chapel and began attending SCC. Kurt is ordained by Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA), has earned an M.A. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and has completed training in Clinical Pastoral Education. Kurt and Susan enjoy traveling, hosting missionaries in their home, and taking walks with their goldendoodle, Toda.
